What is GBT?
Bacterial biofilm is the main cause of gum disease and tooth decay. GBT removes it gently and effectively with Airflow devices – more thoroughly and more gently than conventional prophylaxis methods.
Procedure
We always begin with a thorough examination and assessment of your oral health. Treatment follows a sequence of structured steps and is tailored to you. Thanks to the precision of the Airflow devices, we remove the biofilm in a targeted way while protecting the surrounding tissue.
What sets GBT apart
- Effective on the finest deposits: with a special 14 μm fine powder we remove biofilm above and below the gum line as well as very young tartar – also from the gums, tongue and palate.
- Gentle and thorough: streams of water and air with fine powder particles remove biofilm and stains without damaging enamel or gums.
- Individually adapted: treatment is tailored to your needs and particularly recommended for implants, braces and prosthetic restorations.
- Trained and certified: all our practitioners are trained in the GBT method.
- More comfort: many patients find GBT considerably more pleasant. It is less invasive, and sensitivity or pain during treatment is noticeably reduced.
