What is Digital Smile Design?
Digital Smile Design (DSD) is a digital planning method in aesthetic dentistry. From an intraoral scan, a photo series and your facial proportions, we design your new smile on screen.
Every person is unique, and so is every smile. There is no off-the-shelf smile here: we plan to suit your face, your personality and your wishes. Nature is always our model.
The first step: Smile Check
The Smile Check is the entry point to Digital Smile Design. In around 60 minutes we capture your teeth with the intraoral scanner, take a photo series and listen to what you would like to change about your smile. You receive an honest initial assessment of the options that suit you – with no obligation.
How it works
- Smile Check and analysis: an intraoral scan and photo series capture your teeth, lips and facial proportions with millimetre precision.
- Digital planning: we design your new smile on screen – tooth shape, length, proportions and shade in harmony with your face.
- Trial in the mouth: a mock-up shows the planned result directly on your teeth, without any grinding. Your feedback flows straight back into the plan.
- Treatment: only once you are convinced do we put the design into practice – with veneers, ceramic crowns, aligner therapy or whitening, depending on your starting point.
