What is a full-mouth reconstruction?
We speak of a total restoration when at least half of all teeth need treatment to restore dental health. It is less about making dentures and more a general overhaul of the entire set of teeth.
Depending on your situation, a bite raise is part of it: grinding, erosion or decay wear away tooth structure, and bite height is lost. Raising the bite restores the optimal distance between the jaws and teeth, and with it function and esthetics.
With temporary restorations we test the new bite height before the final ceramic restoration follows. Once it is placed, a Michigan splint worn at night protects your teeth and jaw joints.

When is a full-mouth reconstruction necessary?

Which treatments does it include?
Depending on the condition of your teeth, the full range: extractions, fillings, root canal and periodontal treatment, bone augmentation, implants, crowns, bridges or dentures, and professional teeth cleaning.
How long does a full-mouth reconstruction take?
The steps and the number of appointments depend on your teeth. With advanced loss of tooth structure, implants and bone augmentation, a bite raise can take about a year; during this time you wear highly esthetic, fixed long-term temporaries.
Can I see the result beforehand?
